Grandaddy

He taught me how to hula-hoop and how to ride a bike. He taught me how to perfect my backing up skills in driving and how to bait a fish hook. He taught me how to line a hymn and how to properly give a speech to hundreds or thousands. He taught me how to mow, how to build a porch, and how to treat others and myself. He taught many life lessons before he left to be with the Lord. He is "Grandaddy", Theo Pittman.

Grandaddy instilled many wise words and phrases during the course of his life, many of which I still carry with me and share on a daily basis. One of his favorites was "It's just good to be good and it's just nice to be nice". He would sometimes add, "It's just kind to be kind and it's ok to laugh with people, but never to laugh at them. If they need help, help them. But don't laugh."

As a community activist I see that our world is in desperate need of the implementation of some of these same simple principles that Grandaddy shared in his lifetime. I am convinced that the more we share the small principles, and live the small principles, the more the small principles will create large and lasting effects in the world. Won't you be the change that you are looking to see?

The Real Trendsetter will forever remember and share what Grandaddy said! Will you help?
